Prime Real Estate Branding
I was recently hired to brand a new commercial Real Estate business. This creative package will include the naming, logo design, letterhead design, signage design, and website design plus a CMS for managing properties online.
The first step in branding the business is choose a name. When naming your business you must be extremely careful to search all trademarks so that you can ensure your name is original and not legally trademarked. You can search trademarks here: http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?f=searchss&state=4007:6shq9j.1.1
Client Notes regarding the company:
Non-traditional, no suit and ties, “This isn’t ur grandpa’s real estate company”, not fake to impress, no “dog and pony shows”, carefree but energetic, cowboys, maverick, not too good for you, no deal too small, independent, individuality, break norms, always available, responsive, creative, cutting edge, “don’t just sell buildings, but solve problems”
I was also given this image for inspiration of a cross hair. The client likes to bunt and wanted to see if we could include this somehow:
Below are the names I presented to my client. With all of the names my goal was to go “back to basics”, have something people could read on the fly in their cars and remember, and represent the company professionally without the fluff.
• Core Real Estate
• Mosaic Real Estate
• Raw Real Estate
• Pure Real Estate
• Prime Real Estate
Logo Design Mockups – Round 1
My main objective with designing these logos was to provide an icon that people could quickly identify and remember even if driving by on the hwy.

I like Numbers 1 and 2 best. I like Number 4 without the triangles (sometimes simple works).
As far as color schemes, I like the sunny for both one and two.
It is difficult choosing between 1 and 2, but I would ultimately choose #2. Number 1 is great, but is a bit feminine (great if the Realtor is a female).
I also happen to think that #2 appears more dynamic and established than #1
I like mockup 2 and 4 the best. And I really only like 2 in the black; sunny is okay, but I don’t really like any of the other colors. 4 is really catchy too, but 2 is the best in my mind. It comes across as bold and powerful.
5 and 6 don’t really catch my eye at all or stand out all that much.
I think 1 is really cool and I like ALOT of the color combinations, especially the blue gradient and sunny; however, it just doesn’t say real estate to me. Kinda makes me think of perfume or something along those lines.
I guess my vote is for number 2, as is, or with some new color choices.
As usual, good stuff Cassandra!
Thanks guys!
Hi Cassandra
Number 2 is the one that says commercial real estate to me and I like the black version the most of all the color options. I do think it needs a bit of color somewhere though. Trying to think of some ideas, picture how a black glass building looks at night when a few people are working late and have lights on.

I like # 3 the best — it allows the use of multiple colors and yet is simple. I would probably like a different color than the orange, but definitely like the red and black. Maybe you could use the teal or perhaps shade of gray. Nice job as always!
As always – great work Cassandra.
I’m with Raymond and Joe. I like 2 the best. It says professional, bold, dynamic, creative, approachable without being pretentious or “corporate”… easily recognizable at a glance for sure.
All the color combos are great, but I like either the blue (on black or white) and the black & red the best.
Mock-up 1 with the maroon background is my favorite , but I’m not sure I like the real estate in parenthesis
Great work as always.
I like #2 it is clean and there on question what they do.
Agreed on #2 being clean and concise. To me all the colors would work depending on what they are utilizing it for each would have its benefits. Awesome job Cassie!
I like #2. Its to the point, and leaves no questions
Good work
I like #2 and #7…I guess it depends if you want color in the logo?
I like the “Prime” logo, but only if it’s a residential realtor. I like number 4 and 5 because it looks strong and has a neat branding effect. It’s easy to identify the logo and would bring instant name recognition.
I would stay away from the cursive font as it’s a free font that has been used and abused! My favorite is the 2nd from the top. Great designs!!! Keep up the great work!
