Please Vote on – Club Liquor Wichita Website Designs!

Below are the website designs that I have created for Club Liquor Wichita. This site will be programmed as a wordpress blog so that the owners can make new blog postings on a regular basis to keep the website fresh and up to date with current news and specials.

Mockup 1 - This mockup features a large home page slide show that will be custom specials, news or upcoming events.

Red Background Variation:

Blue Background Variation:

Mockup 2 - This mockup features a background image that can be changed on every page. What do I mean by this? I mean that on the home page shown here, we have a “light blur dotted” background but say on the about page we want the background to be stripped or a sunset. This will make each page unique and also give the owners the flexibility to change up their look with the seasons or St. Patty’s day!

Both of the websites integrate blog postings, facebook and are very progressive.

We would love to have your feedback on which design you think would best fit Club Liquor!

I like the first two… 1st one has that whiskey look to it.. 2nd one like all those fruity drinks the wife likes.
I do like the sidebar on the 3rd

  2. 0-60 says:

I like the blue theme the best and the black one the least.

  3. Kevan says:

    I can’t decide! I like them all!!

  4. Raymond says:

They all look really great! In order to select just one, I had to find some little details that separated them. If they are going to be really active with their FB page, then I’d use mockup 2 because of the FB embed. I like the location of the main tabs better on mockup 1. The background flexibility of number 2 is also very appealing. If I went with mockup 1, I’d use the blue background; however, I’m leaning toward number 2 with the interchangeable backgrounds and the FB embed.

    Hope that helps!

  5. Katie Wyatt says:

I like Mock Up 2 the best. I like the blue and that it has an interchangeable background. Don’t like the snake though….

  6. Peter says:

    Hey Cassie,

I like the first two best. I think it’s good to have a map on the first page. My personal preference is for the second one, but my guess is that most locals will like the first better (jack d. instead of pear vodka).

  7. Jamie says:

I like the third one. Black is sophisticated….which I know y’all are!!!

  8. Gail Foley says:

I like the first one – you know exactly what you are looking at . The other 2 with the snake – no thank you. Big turn off for me personally. Remove the snake in the black and put a fancy green boa (not the snake) or something else in there.

  9. jeff says:

1st mockup in red. It’s the most eye-catching, and red is a hunger/thirst-inducing color. This is the one that would make me stop and check out the site if I were a fan or even a casual surfer.

  10. Cassandra says:

Thank you for your comments so far! I guess I should have stated that the images, including the snake are place holders :)

  11. Cassandra says:

Another note regarding the facebook side bar. This can be embedded in all the sub pages on the first two mockups. Just was not room on home page – unless we want to replace the “news feed” with FB.

  12. stacie says:

I like the blue background, but with the layout of #3.

  13. Drew says:

I like the blue one. Makes me thirsty. I need a drink. Wait it’s 8:21am. Screwdriver anyone?

  14. I like the first one. The color represents the brand – prestigious liquor sales. I like the blue, it jumps off the screen, but I’m not a fan of FB taking up so much space. Mock 1 is, who-what-where, I like the simplicity.

  15. Ross says:

I have personal experience with websites using a black background and they are generally polarizing – visitors love it or hate it. Perhaps the same could be said for liquor itself, but I wouldn’t risk it. I like #1 or #2 the best. I agree with the other commenter above that if Facebook/Twitter are to be important parts of the strategy for this client I might go with #2 just so the color schemes are more in line as visitors move back and forth. If that is not an issue, then the natural colors of #1 seemed inspired by the hue of many fine beverages……

  16. Randy Sebastian says:

I like the last design with the snake it catches my attention. The 1st design is very pleasing to the eye, but the green snake, and the green label on the bottle really catch my eye against the darker background. So the 1st choice is the green snake with dark background and 2nd is the dark red or wine colored. What’s in the snake a lime?

  17. Cassandra says:

    a pear :)

  18. Cindy says:

I like the blue color, but the arrangement of the third one seems to offer more. Upon first glance, the second one gets my vote.

  19. John says:

The burgundy one pops the most for me, possibly due to the contrast with the star/sunbursts behind it. The color scheme also says liquor more to me than the other two do.

  20. Steve Comeau says:

Absolutely no contest – not even close – no ifs, ands, or buts – Number 3 all the way.

  21. Steve Comeau says:

(Oh, and that Absolutely was not meant as a pun.)
